Story of Namdev Ji
Feeding the stone" Namdev feeding of a stone idol of Lord Bithal:
Namdev Ji's parents used to worship the stone idol of Lord Bithal. At home,
the idol was kept in the cupboard. Milk was offered daily to the idol. A bowl after heating the milk after mixing sweet in it and cool it, we put it in front of the idol for some time. We used to put a curtain ahead which was kept on the cupboard. After sometime picking it up & mix it with other milk and make prasad & used to drink it.
Namdev ji was only 12 years old child. One day parents go away from any work & had to go to another village. Told his son Namdev that son! We are going for a week
to other village. You stay at home. First to offer milk to Bithal ji , then after that eat meal. If this is not done then Lord Bithal will get angry and give the curse to us . We will be harm.
Parents insisted this to Namdev and repeated it many times and went on the journey. Namdev ji got up in the morning and take bath, wear clean clothes & take a bowl full of milk & then put it in front of the idol of God and prayed to drink milk,
but the idol did not drink milk. The devotee did not even eat food. Three days were passed. Similarly, every day, place milk in front of the idol and plead that O Lord!
Drink milk. Today your servant will die because I have to bear more hunger
Is not tame.
Parents will be angry. God forgive my mistake. I must have mad some mistake.The reason you are not drinking milk. Every day from parents you used to enjoy.
Namdev ji did not know that parents put milk for some time & used to lift the bowl and add it to the other milk. He used to believe that Bithal ji used to drink every day.
On the fourth day, the ill-tempered boy warmed the milk and placed it in front of the idol and
dizzy fell due to weakness. Then I started to request while sitting. At the same time
Statue hands moved forward and raised the bowl. Drank all the milk. Namdev ji's happiness
was have no locus. Then he himself ate food, drank milk. Then every day sit & god started drinking milk.
After seven-eight days, Namdev's parents returned, they first of all, asked if Bithal
Indulged milk ? Namdev said that parents! Three days god did not drink milk. I do not know what went wrong. I also did not eat food. Fourth day,
God forgave my mistake, then weaned in the morning. Then I also ate food, drank milk.
The parents thought that the child was lying. That's why he said on the fourth day drink milk . Parents said that tell us truth son, how can idol drink milk otherwise your sin will be apply. Bital god has actually drunk milk. Namdev ji said, parents
Really telling the truth. Father said that weaning infront us tomorrow morning.
The next day Namdev Ji placed a bowl of milk in front of the stone idol of the god of Bithal.
At the same time, idol hands moved forward, raised the bowl and drank all the milk. Parents then
Went crazy. Going into the street said that Namdev cater the milk to idol of the god Bithal. This thing spread like fire in the whole village, but nobody was not able to believe. The matter reached to members of jury that Namdev's father was telling lies that that his son Namdev cater the milk to the stone idol.
Jury was held. Namdev and
His father & Namdev was called to the jury and asked whether it was true that Namdev had cater the milk to idol of God. Father said yes! Was fed in front of us. Members of jury said that it has kept the idol of Lord Bithal. This milk bowl is kept.
If Namdev is fed milk to Idol infront of us then we will believe otherwise you will have to leave this village along with your family.
Namdev Ji raised the bowl and put it in front of the idol of Lord Bithal. At the same time
Bithal ji held the bowl in his hands and all the milk was drunk. Panchayat person and audience
Shocked. In this way, with the power of devotion of Namdev ji's previous birth, God
Performed miracles.
"Namdev ji ceiling (Roof of hut was made of grasses ) God put"
othher wonderful miracles: - Namdev ji's father had died.
All of the burden of house work fell on Namdev shoulders. Mother said that son! it's going to rain. From the next month rain will be started. Before that, our ceiling of hut( roof made of grasses) must build. Bring grass from the forest which is special grass. Namdev went to take grass. In the middle of way satsang was going on. Forgot to bring grass. Sit & listen the satsang & become crazy. Engoyed alot. Then started serving in the public feast. Thus evening
Happened. Returning without grass, mother said that son did not bring grass. Had to build roof.
He said to mother that I was started listening satsang. Did not know when it was evening. Tomorrow will definitely bring. The next day he thought that I would listen to satsang for a while, then walk to take grass & willmake the filter (roof of the hut). Forgot that day too. Satsang ends the next day
as soon as he went into the forest, the cutlass (iron grass-barbed bush axe) hit on my foot. The wound deepened. Could not bring grass. He went to the home with hobble leg.
God came in the form of Namdev and brought grass and made a hut.
God left before the arrival of Namdev. Seeing Namdev Ji, mother asked that son! what happened in the leg? Namdev Ji said that mother, for making the roof of hut
I was cutting the grass. Catlass hit on the leg. Mother! I was unable to lift the grass. Therefore, after healing the feet, I will bring grass and filter it. Mother said
What are you saying, son?
You have just finished filtering. Then Namdev
on seeing new filter said that said God had come and filter the roof and went away. When told the secret to the mother, she had shocked and said who he was? Namdev Ji said that mother! he was God.
